You know, I'm no longer going to buy a pc game from a retail shop. How
can I possibly know which games are using starforce. There are too many
of them. Greg

I wouldnt worry about it. Starforce is here to stay as long as pirates are
around. Whats the problem? In a few years no one will remember any
different. Theres always those few crusaders who want to refuse to move with
the times and will do anything to try to panic the situation out of all
proportions.

Starforce was an innovative game by SPI. Decision is talking about
doing a remake. There is a discussion folder about it on Consimworld.

Sure, nothing to worry about, move along little lemmings. Do as you
please, but I'll continue to spend my money on those
publishers/developers who don't treat their customers as potential
thieves and secretly install malware on their machines. That last act is
in fact a punishable offense over here, so can you spell "lawsuit
waiting to happen ?"

Lists each game and it's copy protection.

I would. Starforce it meant to remove "casual" pirates - and the presence
of pirates is necessary to prevent global warming, as shown in the graph:

Maybe - however, copyrights expire. Copy-protection does not.

That's the core of the issue - if software gets destroyed because it cannot
be eventually released into the public domain, then that's not good for
cultural advancement.
