| Just a brief note about some rare Sid Sackson items currently on
auction on Ebay.
As you know, Sid Sackson was a legendary game designer whose
creations include such well known games as Acquire, Can't Stop,
Bazaar, Kohle, Kies & Knete (I'm the Boss!) and many more. But BEFORE
Sid had his designs published by 3M, Milton Bradley, Parker Brothers
etc., he SELF-PUBLISHED TWO GAMES: Slam! and Triad. These
self-published items are now available.
There is NO RESERVE on either!
To see these items (and a few other interesting games too), please
go to the Gamers Alliance web site - www.gamersalliance.com - and
click on the "Current Ebay auctions" link.
The auctions are scheduled to end December 7. (Gamers Alliance
members may use their $10 membership bonus towards ANY ebay purchase.
Non-members: please check out our special offer at our site! While
you're there, sample our 20th Anniversary issue and click on the "2005
Gamers Alliance Holiday Catalog" link and see our latest selection of
sale items. Don't see what you want? Then, please send your want list.

Thanks for looking!

Just to clarify these *are* just a 'game in a box' and not the rights to
produce those games. Your wording seems to lean towards the latter though I'm
sure I remember that those rights were specifically excluded at the recent
auction of Sid's effects.

Absolutely correct, John. The rights to these games are NOT being
sold. (I didn't think I suggested anything else but I'm glad to
clarify.) These are originals of Sid's self-published games but they
have already been copyrighted (in 1951 and 1957) and the intellectual
rights to them belong exclusively to his estate just as if your
purchase any other published Sid Sackson game.
(BTW, other Sackson games have just been listed on Ebay too -
including a vintage Acquire STILL SEALED IN THE ORIGINAL SHRINK! As
before, to see all items, please go to the Gamers Alliance web site -
www.gamersalliance.com - and click on the Current Ebay Auctions link.)
Thanks!
