I'd strongly discourage the cord biting. I've seen reports of kids (and
pets) seriously injured or killed from biting through power cords.
Best to have something else handy to provide oral gratification. "Here,
chew on this, instead."

he is never without adult supervision. And there is a collection of teethers
in the pics at his feet.
We own 3 dogs and at one time two cats, none have died from power cords.
