On the one hand: Cool!
On the other hand, the world is filled with idiots who are doing this.
The bad thing isn't that they may hurt themselves, but that their broken
battered corpse might hit someone else and ruin their life. XXXX 'em for
that.

Yeah, for the dude with leukemia, I can't say I blame him for doing
something dangerous like that. WTF do you have to lose? I'd probably do
something just as stupid. But yeah, problem is that you could take someone
else out as well.

It looked genuine and it's one of those stories that - even if it weren't
individually true - the idea is poignant and worth sharing.

Bit harder to fake video of someone hanging off the back of a train
than just saying ya did that.

Never underestimate stupidity, it can occur in the least expected places.

I saw this vid a couple of days ago. It seems legit to me. It was done as a
memorial to the guy because now he's dead. He had the coolest set up with
those suction cups to hold onto the glass. When he stood up all I could
think of was when Paul rides the Worm in the movie "Dune" Looked just like
it. One brave/nuts, SOB for doing something like that!

Darwin was right then, stupidity will not survive.

Good.

Idiots praise him for his stupidity. Idiots glorify him by putting the
video onto the internet. More people watch his stupid stunt.
Y'see anything wrong in that little circle?

Darwinism does not work in today's society.

His stunt was only as stupid as a lot of stuff others do - often with an
inherent risk to others. How does this stunt differ?

It would if we stop giving aid to stupid retards that do moronic
activities. For instance...:

That XXXXwit's been saved. Now, seeing that his cretinous stunt has been
publicised, he's got an incentive to do more stupid things.
Give idiots rewards (in the case of this thread... a video put onto the
internet, available to anyone worldwide... instant fame), give them a
second chance, idiots will do stupid things again.

Er... read that statement again.

True.

I think your objection to the guy doing the stunt with the trains was in
case he hurt others? I'm just saying that "stunts" others do such as
paragliding also endanger others.
Anyway, I'm not particularly disagreeing with you, I just liked the video is
all
