That looks interesting.
I've just uninstalled Tribes:Vengeance this morning funnily enough, so I'll
give that a go.

"Starsiege: 2845 is not meant to serve as a conceptual sequel to Tribes or
Starsiege; it has a new approach, new equipment, and a new goal. Skiing and
tribes-like jetpacks will not be included "

True, skiing and jetpacks aren't included, yet. It is the Torque engine
right now, and I wouldn't be suprised to see it included later, though.
I haven't really played with it that much, it seems to go crashy crashy
on my laptop. This crappy thing has a tendency to over heat now,
especially when I'm playing anything with 3d.

Are and will not are two different things. One can just say that its
not there, and could be later, where as the other means they won't add
it.

I can see them putting it in later mainly because it's what people want,
but that's just me.
