I found a sweet brown pigeon this evening that couldn't fly, and
couldn't walk properly either. So I brought it inside and put it in a spare
birdcage, way up high, away from all the other critters. Gave it a dish of
food and water.

I figure a few days of rest and then I'll release it, see if it can fly again.
If not, our mail lady rescues birds so I'll see if she'll help it.

Might be a brown dove, although the pigeons are of the dove family,
methinks. Anyway, it has really nice eyes- I'll take a photo of him/her
tomorrow.

It's part of the "can't throw it away" disease I share.

Some people have alot of birds. My step aunt and uncle have a slew of
parrots and such. I have close to 40 chickens.

After tonight, I have yet another spare cage, as I unhooked the
two that made up Zasu's & Uda's. Zaz has a "bachelor pad"
now.

Yes, we had 2 spares- One for transport, as the need arises,
and the one AnnieMae sent us home with when she "gave" us the
huge family of finches.
We took the second batch of babies to the pet store this past
Saturday and Momma Finch has already laid 4 eggs.
