Pray tell, what path did you follow to find your way to that?

The anti-fast-food zealots ought to adopt him as their spokesman. (Not that
it would affect me. My diet's loaded with fat and I can't break 125

I've been doing Albertson's ice cream sandwiches, but I can't do more than
one. But I've always been a cake person. Ice cream was always something
people served with cake, that I ate because I had to to get the cake. And
cake in turn is frosting excuse. ;)

A big of potato chips every day did me in. Well, that and spraining

Eating before bedtime, period, will do that. When you goto sleep all the
stuff in your system just gets stored as fat since your body's metabolism
slows down then. Thats how sumo wrestlers get so big. They eat a big meal
(just one for the day) and immediately goto sleep (they also eat healthy
stuff, just more of it).

Or totally decadent chocolate with fudge frosting?

While I love cheese and cream cheese (my bagels end up a mile high with the
stuff) I've never liked cheesecake. (Which is really a custard. And I do
like quiche lorraine. More strangeness.) And I never acquired a liking for
carrots.

Now decadent chococolate, OTOH.... <eyes roll back in head> (I'm no milk
chocolate fan; it's gotta be dark or bittersweet. Even with chocolate, I'm
fussy! ;))

My cheesecake contains *3* pounds of Philly cream cheese, only
3 eggs, and a scant 1/2 cup sugar. I'll bet a dollar you'd enjoy it. ;)

Okay, here we totally agree! I'm a chocolate snob.

It's gotta be dark for snacking on, *unless* it's Belgian or some
select Swiss milk chocolate. Belgian chocolates are the best in the world,
IMNSHO, as they melt *so* devinely in your mouth.

I don't know. Cheese and sugar? OTOH, I do love cream cheese and pepper
jelly on my garlic bagel. Stepwife makes the most divine pepper jelly....

Another thing that's good is dipping chicken fries in blue cheese dressing
and pepper jelly. (Schwann's makes chicken nuggets like french fries, which
deep fry nicely. Alas, I don't see them on their website.)

Actually, Hershey's has some good stuff imho. The nasty crap
comes from Ghiradelli according to my taste buds. The Hershey Dark
is the best for baking, over Nestle. Again, just my opinion. I'm so tired
of friends coming back from 'Frisco with that Ghiradelli as souvenirs.
The quality is just appalling, but folks rave about it. Go figure.
I do use other Nestle baking chips, though- their peanut butter and
butterscotch ones are great, and I love the way their white ones melt.

Oh, then there's that really awful kiddy stuff that arrives for holidays-
the worst of that lot is the Palmer's. UGH. That shit is just brown,
sweetened lard wrapped prettily. <gag>

As a native, I have to agree. It's a nice place to visit and see the
machinery, but the product isn't particularly great. And if pressed for
time, drop G off your list of things to see. There's so much else here
that's more worthwhile. Start with the old ship museum down the hill at the
water, where you can climb through all the old ships.

Had barbequed chicken breast strips yesterday at the office, so I brought
stepwife's pepper jelly and Marie's extra-chunky blue cheese dressing for
dipping. Most there hadn't had pepper jelly before and were very pleasantly
surprised by it. I may even sell a few jars next week. ;) I managed to
spill some blue cheese dressing on my black sweatshirt, so I said I "had a

The BBQ celebrated our machine shop cutting first metal this week.

Good stuff. Used up half a tub of whipped cream cheese on, what, 3 cookies?
Or was it 4? Lost track while playing Battlefield. Wolfed them down between
maps.

Since I was the only one with a camera, I won't be in any of them. But I
did get a few shots of people standing around in our picnic area and I got
some shots last week of the machines waiting for "tools" (like big drill
bits), just moving around with nothing in them. Gotta get them uploaded.

/me high-fives Scratch. I justify that snack as "healthy" because
of the calcium in the cream cheese. :D

Automation stuff for semiconductor fabs. X/Y/Z/Theta stages right now, but
maybe robots in the future.

Oh f00king WOW. I had no idea the parts y'all made were that
sophisticated. How awesome is *that*!

Yep, it's all high-precision stuff. A machinist was showing me a part in
SolidWorks that would be "roughed out" on one of the cheaper machines, then
finished with squared cuts on our big 5-axis machine, where it can be
rotated to give trued right angles essential to the application.
