Wow. Well, I guess it's all about what a person likes or wants
to do, huh? I learn what I want to do, or like the results enough to
learn to create the item myself.
And then sometimes we have to learn something just to keep
a job, or to advance in a job, huh?
I wanted the title "pastry chef" when I started doing the baking
at the Shilo restaurant, so the chef said if I could produce the same
exact results the former pastry chef had, he'd give me the title and
the pay.
Didn't take me very long until I had both the new name tag and
a slight increase in pay. All I had to do was learn a few new techniques
and recipes, and there I was.
So I suppose it's the same with most folks. It all comes down to
interest and motivation, wouldn't you say? When I got a computer
dumped in my lap in 1998, I got motivated to learn about it when
I saw all the zillions of possibilities. And damn, here I am, still trying
to figure these XXXXing things out!! LOL
