Hey, I'm interested in a thermal printer for doing vinyl work, and wanting
something that can do upto 15" (since all my stock is 15" and dont plan
on really doing things larger than that), and not be outrageously priced.
Any suggestions?

Hmmm, at the Oceanographic office we used 60" HP Designjets to print
to vinyl with UV inks. It would permeate the film and bond completely
with it.

No thermal involved and it looked great. Just regular expensive ink
jet.

Not sure if HP sells a 15" friction feed printer that takes in a roll.

If I had the cash, I'd get me one of these suckers. They print and cut
all at the same time.

Check out the streaming demo. If that don't give you a creative
hardon, I don't know what would.

Doesn't have to be exactly 15", just be able to use my 15" vinyl, and not
cost an arm and a leg.

When I got my plotter, I looked into something similar to that, but on a
much smaller scale. Roland makes one that is a 12" that prints and cuts.

You are very welcome, and please forgive me my abscenses (sp?)
as they occur, as I'm ill again. Ross asked me this afternoon, "How do
you feel?" and I said, "Like Dusty and I are having a race to the Finish line".
