Hey, Miracle, you're out in Yuma, right?

What gives with these circular crops?

http://tinyurl.com/7u89q

Y'all tryin' to corn-fuse the aliens what do crop circles by making the
crops circlear?

Any reports of mysterious crop squares out that way?

Oh, and from space, you can really see where the water distribution
stops and the dry ground begins! Wow.

if i were an alien, i'd do something smart, like a 3d shape instead of a
mere circle or square.

Yes, if i could pick the shape it would be a dodecahedron.

I was thinking the other day that those weird shapes on the ground aren't
landing zones, but the places where they bury the vehicle detector antenna
for interstellar traffic intersections. (Ever notice the odd circle cuts in
the road at an intersection? That's a buried antenna for sensing cars.)

You cityfolk. Basically the situation on that is they have a watering
system setup, like sprinkers, and they rotate in a circle around a fixed
point. Uses alot less water than standard style irrigation.

WTF are those?!?!? Let me zoom out..........

Wow, took me awhile to get my bearings. That looks to be very
near Gadsen, which is just a wide spot in the road heading down
to Somerton/San Luis.
Yeah, okay- just above those circles is the housing area for the
Cocopah tribe, and further up I see the runways at the Marine base.

Damn dude, it's got to be an irrigation system of some sort. This
is VERY intriguing! The agricultural plots above the circles are citrus
groves.
Hey COOL- I see the Cocopah casino!

Yep, it's a sad reminder of what happened to the Colorado river
after the Hoover dam was finished. Other dams since have about
finished off the Colorado. Nothing would exist here without the Gila
and Colorado rivers, although the Gila is now a pitiful creek. It merges
with the Colorado just above Yuma, near the Territorial prison.

Hey, those circles are in the bombing range!!!! No shit, man, we're
looking at the very western edge of the Barry M. Goldwater bombing
range.
Oh wow, I'm showing this to every one I know here! What the devil
are they doing there?

Wow man, great find. I didn't take the time to explore the county,
so I probably never would have seen these. Thank you!!!

I can see how the circular crops would be more water efficient. But a
full 18-hole golf course!?

Seems with water at a premium that a golf course would just be flat out
impracticle. But then, I've never met someone with the golfing bug that
I would affix the epithet "practicle" to. I wonder what membership dues
are like at that club?

Hehehe, I don't think I'd want to be a farmer who's crop of concentric
circles looks suspiciously like a bombing target on the western edge of
a military target range.

Okay, look- here's the area due south of me, just across I-8.
See the golf course there, bottom center? The road that runs
alongside it is the northern edge of the bombing range.

I'm wondering if those circles denote where they blow up
old ordnance. The days they do that there's no mistaking it-
big BOOMs and window-rattling deluxe. Sometimes they even
warn us in advance, because of the "fright factor".

Google maps is great.

Mt St Helens,
Area 51
Airplane Graveyard...

There's no club- it's a public course, and it's only 9 holes, with
plans to expand to 18. It's a very tough 9 holes, too- I've played
it and it's quite a challenge! LOL

What you should know is that all of the housing out in our area,
and especially that nearest the golf course, is about 95% retired
folks. So they play golf a lot, and support the course through the
greens fees.
Not only that, but the course has it's own water recycling system.
It's on the east side of the parking lot. Across the road are some homes
that would bug your eyes out, they're so big and fancy.
All of this is on the south side of the freeway, it's known simply as
"the foothills". I live on the north side of the freeway (I-8), which is
called "foothills north". Both areas are full of folks with fat bank accounts.
About half or more of the homes are empty now, as their owners have
left to go back up north for the summer- we call the "snowbirds".
*I* call them "XXXXing bluehairs" when I'm in a good mood while
fighting the winter traffic. LOL

I have looked at Area 51 with the Google maps- it's
too cool for words.

Where is the airplane graveyard located, Adrian?

I see two courses. One at the civic center and one north and east of
that.

If you would, could you make a link for Area 51, I looked, but could
not find. And if you find the airplane graveyard, link it here, please?

Thanks.

:D See if you can find the big public course near the Civic center.

And the huge private one east of my house.

I'll admit to a red face- I knew the airplane graveyard
was in Tucson, but as always I had yet another "senior moment".
Hell, I used to shop in the Davis-Monthan Commissary.

I'm wondering if that stroke wasn't as "mini" as I was told....

Gah. Memory is the first to go, they say. The fifth decade
ain't for pansies, I tell ya!
