Off Topic- TV Dude

| Whoops, almost forgot my TV post.
So, here in the U.S. we have a new show called
"House", which happens to be the last name of the
doctor who the show focuses around. Set in a hospital,
fraught with scary symptoms and nearly-lethal diagnoses,
it's pretty unremarkable except for the middle-aged
dude who plays the doc. I think he's a doll, but it seemed
kinda weird that we'd never seen him before.
Turns out the dude is all over BBC America, and is
a Brit! I saw him on the Tonight show the other night and
was struck quite dumb when he began to talk- his accent
is very heavy, and he admitted that the hardest part of the
TV series is "sounding American".
His name is Hugh Laurie, and now I want to see if any
of the BBC America shows are available on DVD. Yum!

I thought he did a good job of sounding american in the two Stuart Little
movies.

He's harder to pick out because he's way more clean cut in Stuart Little

Hugh Laurie has been in quite a few things that were fairly big here
in the States. "Maybe Baby", "Stewart Little", "Black Adder" with
Rowan Atkinson...
Very talented man.

I went to the IMDB and looked at pics- nearly croaked
when I saw him. Isn't it funny that we didn't give him a second
look in that movie, but zeroed in on him as soon as he got a
TV series.
Hubby Ross says we were looking at the mouse so much,
we didn't notice the people. Still, I was embarrassed!
