| Okay, so, if it's about 1:00pm here in the Mountain time zone,
and we're supposed to be roughly 8 hours different from London,
would it be roughly 9:00pm London time? More? Less?
I've looked at time zone charts until I'm cross-eyed, and feeling
so crappy, that's the best estimate I can arrive at.
Ish. My head hurts.

Mountain time is -7:00GMT. It's currently 20:57 here in the UK, so that'll
be 12:57pm Mountain time.

Whatever happened to those all-singing/dancing laptops? I heard they were
supposed to be something good. ;)

<tries to concentrate>
Okay, so, 20:57 = 8:57pm, so I was right. We're 8 hours
earlier than London, or to be perverse, London is 8 hours later
than Yuma. Got it.

No fair, you have more toys than I do. Well, prolly not, just
different ones. I got a wee PDA for Christmas that "I can't be
arsed" to even turn on. It's useless to me- I'm a paper & pencil
person. Er, colored gel pens more exactly.

Oh, they are wonderful, all right! Else I'd be confined to the
office and virtually chained to my massive desk. The only hassle
I'm having is that I possess a rather meager lap. (Meagre?) LOL
Being a shorty and only about 92 pounds right now, what little
lap there is finds this warm toy a bit hefty and uncomfortable.
So I find setting it on a table to be best for now, ergo here I am
at the dining table.
Which is cool, cuz I got us a huge one, so there's eight places
to move to, which provides a bit of variety when it comes to the view.
Oh shit, I warned y'all I could get wordy today.....................

Now you've got that nailed, remember that the clocks "go forward" this
Saturday night in the UK.

Oh *XXXX*. <let's head fall on table> Arizona doesn't use
DST. No, we have to be the f00king maverick state. Wild, wild
west and all that. Shit.

Say, I've got a friend who speaks Klingon! Well, an online
acquaintance, and there's our Bryan, who digs all things Star Trek.
Passing
along.................................wheeeeeeeeee.....................

You have it easy... trust me.

Can't beat iron pans, hmm? ;)

Yup.

That's sad, imho.

Liking a TV series is one thing, assuming scripted things exist (thus
creating the things necessary for 'survival') is... worrying.

I really do believe you're right, having access to world
news.

More than "sad", IMHO. I mean, it's a bit over the top
for an adult, eh? But then again, I collect a lot of childish crap.
Then again, I don't spend a boatload of time on it. Hmmm.

I agree. There was a girl in school with me who actually had.
a "Man from U.N.C.L.E." badge and wore it. All the time.
We all steered clear of her.................and I *adored* David
McCallum. Still do.

Don't forget to uncheck the "use current date and time" if you want to
convert something other than "now". I always forget to do that and swear at
the thing for several minutes until I remember that stupid checkbox.

"02:00:00 Sun Mar 27 2005 in Europe/London converts to
18:00:00 Sat Mar 26 2005 in America/Phoenix "
That's still 8 hours different, though, and Mr K said they
were going on DST............
"DST* is in effect on this date/time in Europe/London
DST* is not in effect on this date/time in America/Phoenix "
See? OWFI, I'll just keep my 8 hour estimate and
be done with it!! Neato converter, though- Thanx!!
