Version check failed?

ZoneAlarm set on learning mode.
Hardware firewall disabled.
Version check failed
Your version (0.25034.0.0) of Tribes 2 is out of date, but there are no
updates to update Tribes 2 to the latest version.
What am I missing?

I think I have them. Like Desosa said, I tried classic mode and got
in. By the way, what is classic mode?
I tried making a link to the executable but that did not work, the
regular Tribes 2 program insists that I start from another (probably
Sierra update) shortcut.

of settings to your shortcut.

| Sorry, I'd have been more specific, but it isn't installed on my PC.
I know for sure what I know is on a website somewhere, as that is how I
found out.
If you copy, letter for letter, comma for comma, the exact error message,
and paste it in google, you will find what you are looking for within the
very first page.

· 1) First, here is the easy way. Click on your start button, find
your Tribes2 folder (it might be under Dynamix or something), then
go to 'Classic', and select "Tribes 2 Classic Only - Online". This
should work, if not, see below.
· 2) On your computer, find the link that you use to launch Tribes2.
Right click on that link, and select 'Properties'. In the link
properties, you will see 'Target' listed, it will be something like
this: "C:\dynamix\tribes2\GameData\SierraUp.exe". Change that link
to be like this: "C:\dynamix\tribes2\GameData\Tribes2.exe -online"
