| Nice to see at least somebody checks this NG. It is too bad about the
way the game seems to be die-ing off. Wish the devs would put a lot
of the game back to the way it used to be before CU1. And focus more
on the traders to make them actually useful again. (Hey devs, if ya
moniter this group, how about instead of looting weapons, have the
fighters loot components that a crafter can use to MAKE the kickbutt
weapons?)
Anyway, I just got my 36month reward notice and I still play. Not in
the last couple of weeks cause my video card died and the one I'm
using doesn't do games very well, but new one will be here on the
14th.
Anyway, just glad to see some life left in this group, if only just a
spark.

Actually they are turning back the clock to what appears to be a
CU/pre-CU combination. If they have learned one thing though is that
wholesale changes will anger the players quite possibly to the point of
leaving. By doing things bit by bit they are trying to avoid another NGE
level exodus which would be the end of the game.

| They are making changes for the better, but its not pre-cu :-(
I reactivated my account for a few months back in June/July, but have since
left again.
There doesn't seem to be many people around these days. Our guild went to a
shuttleport party hosted by one of the other guilds and there just wasn't
that many people there. Even our guild itself (OSG) has something like 85
toons on their books, but during the Sunday meetings could only make 4
including me. Its a shame to see a game with such a great community torn
apart.
I have set myself some rules before I reactivate (if I do).
i. All the classes must have been completed (Currently SOE is doing two
classes a publish). I'm a spy and apparently they are last on the list.
ii. The economy needs to be sorted out. My alt is a trader, but doesn't
really have a job as drops by creatures are far better than he can produce.
Drops also seem to be way too numerous. I could easily make 100K in around
an hour. To me that seems way, way too high. In addition the player rewards
are far too good. I had a crate of resources which sold for 2 million as
well as a self powered harvester which sold for a large sum of money. My
toons now have so much money there is no real game. I can buy what I want
and do what I want. I feel like a millionaire (which I am), but I don't
think my toons have earned it.
I've now gone back to EQ2 and will stay there until the conditions are right
in SWG.
I miss pre-cu. SOE had a unique game then, whereas now they are aiming it
squarely at WoW by changing it from a place you live to a place you play. It
will never out WoW - Wow because it's a much older game. What's more,
pitching it in this direction will put it in the same market segment as all
the forthcoming releases.
All they needed to do was add content, there was no need to go for the
revamp that they did. That said the NGE of a few months ago was much better
than the original release; I just don't think it will ever match pre-cu.
I've given up any real whinging now. Just remember pre-cu as the happy times
from a game I no longer have.
