There is a guy who translated the Japan / swg server boards to English.

Kinda suprising that SOE is up-to-something. SWG seems to be pretty
lucrative across the boaord in terms of both new units sold, and of
course thos subscritions.

| It looks like the shut down will offer a free server transfer which is
to be expected. I forsee a server combination in the near future for
American servers as well. Populations are still ok but from what I
gather they are quite different from server to server and I can see
them moving the players from some of the slower servers to the higher
populated once in a last ditch effort to save those people who are
leaving due to low and/or boring populations.
Conjecture maybe but I have seen it many times on all MMO's

yes, it has been confirmed the japanese servers are shutdown. They all get
a free character xfer service, 4 months free play time, and TOOW expansion
for free. Servers are up til the end of this year.

Shadowfire and Tempest are really really low in populace. Hotspots for
grouping like MO and LoK are usually barren. with the house pack up option,
it's only a matter of when this happens.
