JTL Storm Endor Mission "escort the engineers/core freighter"

| Cripes..
I can't believe how pissed off this mission made me.
I blew it the first couple times because I wandered too far from the
freighter whilst defending it...annoying to say the least.
So I went back and made sure to stay close...
So I manage to take out the dolts attacking (there was a y-wing that was
just left behind somewhere)....Think "Great! Now I can go back, and train!"
Wrong...now there is another mission, with even more waves of annoying
fighters....I clean them out and think "Great! now I can go back and train,
since my XP is maxed and my inventory is full!"
WRONG
Now I get to go chase some little XXX in an a-wing around....so I do
that....then get attacked by a group of pirates...and ANOTHER COPY OF THAT
A-WING....so I clear them out...finally booster the hell out of their since
the pirates keep re-spawning and I'm not getting closer to...wait for it...
MY NEXT WAYPOINT....grrrr
So I get there...and get to play with a couple waves of tier-4
ships...joy...while I'm wrestling with them, the force attacking the
freighter shows up...so now I'm fighting the tier 4s and 5 tier 3s....and
this one REALLY annoying tier 4 a-wing...
So I finally manage to clear this lot out, My crappy tie-fighter is looking
a bit worse for wear, the freighter is gone, and ANOTHER waypoint pops
up....
Ok...Now I really need to hit the head at this point, when in pop EIGHT more
tier 3 ships....o_O
I dally with them for a bit, and am really getting hammered, boosters are
gone, weapons are down to less than 1/2 energy...and my shields are all but
gone, I've got the large "EJECT" button staring at me, and every hit is
washing my screen with flames. I start yanking the joystick randomly, and
stab the H key, choose a random in-system jump point and nick the hell out
of there just in time.
I limp to the station, get repaired, then head to the last waypoint for a
completely non-interesting drop off, quick fight, and that is all.
I see why some people complain about the higher missions getting annoyingly
hard...I would rather go up against a smaller set of intelligent opponents
than this "swamp them with numbers" mindset. The rebels wasted an untold
number of ships that day, which just doesn't strike me as their style.
One thing I did notice, even though I seemed capped at 200k xp, after I
trained, I was right back at 200k, but I couldn't train again so I could use
this blasted tie/int blueprint I have...now I have to do another mission
before I can use the training :/
Soloing these missions is possible, but I feel bad for people that haven't
had much twitch/pilot time under their belts...They are going to be eaten
alive unless they have a few friends to join the party...

| The higher level missions are absolutely designed with group fighting in
mind. Some can complete them solo, but that wasn't what they were designed
for.

| I'm still in the lower tiers so this may not apply, but one thing I find
very helpful is to avoid the missions at first and just grind through until
I have the equipment box done, so that I can put better equipment on my
ship. Might even want to do the chassis box too so that you can have a
totally upgraded ship before doing the missions.
