| I'm in the red room on Level 3 with those damn bosses that sract and suck
energy and seem to be unkillable. How do I defeat them?

| I remember these bosses, I managed to kill them. It could be that only
energy weapons are effective against them, or was it only kinetic
(Vulcan/Gauss, missiles) weapons?

Keep pounding away at them with energy-based weapons.
A lot of this is spelled out in the pre-mission briefings
