| Been running D2x on a 1.8 GHz machine for a while, recently loaded it
on a 2.4 GHz Athlon machine, where it runs great partway through a
level then just goes away.
No warning, no errors codes, just "poof!" and it's gone.
Tried D2x-sdl, D2x-gl, and the original D@ setups, no help.
Anyone have any suggestions? Is there a log file somewhere?
D3 runs fine.
Thanks!
Mike

Mike,
I have the answer... D2X-XL > http://www.descent2.de/
I have never succeeded in getting D2X to run with any
amount of stability. D2X-XL (a fork of D2X) runs great though!
Give it a try.

Thanks Lance, that works great!
Lots of nifty features to play with, too!
Now I'll have to load it on my other machines... :-)
