I check in once or twice a year ;)
I remember playing the demo on a 486. Posting to some old BBS group.
I recall there was a steep learning curve at first and the no save
feature on the demo probably turned off a lot of people.
My fav was the 3dfx version of D1. Upgraded my computer and haven't
gotten around to reloading current versions of descent. Been too busy
with the frag cannon in unreal tourny.
Haven't found anything to compare with descent though.
It's a classic.
