General manual online, etc.

| Hi:
Three Qs:
I am wondering if there is a general game manual as to how to play the game,
online. Or maybe a good book to buy or order. I bought the two CD set
online and it came with no game play instructions, just a case. I often get
stuck on levels, not knowing where to go and what to do or how to do it.
Using the SHIFT+TAB and SHIFT+F8 do little to help when this happens. And
even the guidebot menu does not list all of the places to find, keys, etc.
Also, is there a place to play it online? Every one I have tried is not
active.
Lastly, the ONLY way to register this game in this set of CDs is via a
dialup (ACK!) modem, and it looks for a phone number to dial, which I do not
have (I have cable internet). There is no "direct connection" registration.
Any help out there?
Thanks in Advance,
Bob Z.

The manuals don't help as much as they could. The only way to be able to
understand the minimap is to actually have a bit more experience with the
game. If you can finish the Descent 1 and Descent 2 demos, then mabye
you'll have a bit more understanding on how the maps work.

The only essential menu item in the Guidebot menu would be the first one.
It provides a direct path between you and the destination. You may also
want to use Shift-F1 to see where the guidebot is heading so you won't be
completely lost.

Use "123" as the registration code. Never liked this kind of registration,
anyway.

Check out:
Manual.pdf on disk one and follow the links Moon gave you.
That should do most of it, but if you have any other q's, we can always use
the action in the NG here.
