| I have been playing d2x the last couple of days
with mixed results. So far, I have played nothing
but the Vertigo missions single player. I got
through the first couple of levels but the third
would not load. There are several others that
won't load either, although they were scattered
about. The screen just collapses to an icon on
the task bar and I have to kill it with task manager.
Anyway, now the game suddenly won't come up at all.
Both gl and sdl behave the same. The screen gets
to the first prompt where you select the pilot, then
collapses to an icon.
I am new at d2x but have been playing Descent from
the very beginning.
The stdout log only shows
Warning: Cannot open any movie file <intro-*.mvl>
Warning: Cannot open any movie file <other-*.mvl>
Warning: Cannot open any movie file <robots-*.mvl>
movie: RunMovie: Cannot open movie <intro.mve>
Any suggestions?
XP with latest SP and patches
