| I have scoured the internet and usenet groups archive looking for info on
how to play D2 in windows 2000. There is a crap load of information on how
to do this but it all starts off by installing D2 under windows. When i try
this by inserting the cd and then clicking install on the splash screen or
by making a shortcut and using compatability mode the effect is the
same...nothing. I ran the exe from a command prompt and was able to get an
error message. It seems that the D2 setup exe will not run because it cannot
detect the D2 even though it is in the cdrom drive and the exe is being run
from that drive (yes, it is a valid cd). Any advice greatly accepted.
