looking for a D2 level

| I used to play a solo level that was HUGE... as I recall, the txt file
with it said that the developer was experiemnting to see just how big
he could make a D2 level.
IIRC, his experiment actually had 4 or 5 large levels, but they
weren't linked, that is, completing one did not automatically take you
to the next (I think).
One of them in particular had you teleport into the mine in a small
room where you had to shoot a switch and load up on shields and
energy, then you'd go out into an enormously long and wide tunnel,.
This tunnel was covered at the "top" end (where you entered it) by a
force field, and at the bottom was lava.
At the end of this tunnel there were 3 large "boss" robots which were
made from fan graphics.
Each of the "boss" robots would leave one or two earthshakers when
blown up, and they fired homers or megas, I think. Maybe it was
shakers...
After you beat them you would go through a huge lattice work door to
get to another part of the level, where there were several more of the
same "boss" robots scattered around in various places.
The level ended with the standard "blow the reactor and run for the
exit".
Man, I can picture that level so well in my mind, but it seems kind of
lame writing it down...
Anyway, if anyone has any memory of this level, I'd appreciate a
reply. I've downloaded tons of levels and have been laboriously
checking them one by one. At the current rate I figure my grandkids
will finally find it for me when they've put me in a geriatric home.
(I currently have no grandkids.)
TIA
Mike

The question isn't "are there weapons of mass destruction?",
the question is "who has them now?"

Hi Mike
Makes pleasure to reread.
I think to know this level, but I don't remember the title anymore.
I am not on, D2 or D3. Are you certain that that is D2?
Currently, I replay some big D2 missions, if I find, I warn you.
Cordially.
Jacques
PS : My English is always as bad

Thanks, thought I did that a few months ago, but just checked to make
sure and I guess it was my imagination!
I'll try it.

I can't help you with the name of this level (sorry), but, if you like
really large levels, you might want to check out an old D1 level
of mine, called The Cycloid. It's got an enormous "open" area,
and... well, if I do say, I think it's a rather rewarding challenge
(particularly if you like "white knuckle" endings <g> ).

Cool. If/when you do (I actually did start to convert it to D2, but...
don't remember what happened there... maybe it just wasn't right
without some of the same textures, or something)... yeah, where
was I... oh yeah, if/when you do get around to it, drop me a line
and lemme know how you liked it (pay no attentin to the email addy
in the archive text file, as it's *long* invalid). Folks who've played it
were quite surprised.
