D2: How Do I Install With Win98se

I wanted to install D2 but after it checks the resolution and asks
which install size I want, it crashes with a bunch of meaningless
numbers. I tried booting to dos but CDrom drivers arn't installed.
What do I need to do to install it? Thanks.
