D2 Vertigo Question...
|
|
| The Dismantler! 2004-09-08, 6:08 pm |
| My son tells me there is or was a Descent 2 Vertigo. I know nothing of this,
only I am expected to find a copy.
Is there such a thing, and anyone know where I could find a copy I could
obtain?
Thanx...

The Vertigo Series is an add-on disc for Descent 2. But where to obtain it?
No idea... it's not even on Interplay's website anymore. Anyway it is also
included in 'Descent: The Definitive Collection', perhaps you can find that
somewhere :/

Vertigo is a very well done 20 level mission set.
If your son liked the original mission, he will love the Vertigo series as
well.
You can find the Vertigo levels in
'Descent: The Definitive Collection', and in
'Descent 2: The Infinite Abyss'.
'Descent: The Definitive Collection' contains D1, D2, Levels of the World
(100 user created add-on levels), Vertigo series, and a mission builder to
create your own levels with.
Descent 2: The Infinite Abyss contains D2, Vertigo series, mission builder,
and a level converter.
I do have an extra, unopened box of 'Descent: The Definitive Collection' in
my personal collection that is dear to me as a collector's item, though I
may be willing to part with it for a hefty price. (how bad does your son
want it?) You may be able to to better on ebay.
Email me with an offer if you're feeling rich and impulsive. (remove

I've always regretted not buying the entire stack of D:TDC boxes at
compusa when they were $5, some years back. I did buy several to send to
friends tho.

Ooh! That was a deal! I think I paid $25 each for my two copies. One of them
still has the plastic wrap. Weird because I've never collected anything.
Descent is a one of a kind

| Hmmmm...
Could you define "hefty price"? The Definitive Collection would be nice,
although we do have 1 and 2 alone. I know there are lots of goodies with the
set.
Thanx

Heh. Now this is how the game is played.
You have to make an offer first.
What's it worth to you? How can I keep my advantage if I show you my hand?
Seriously though, we should prolly do the acutal negotiations in private.
Email me with an offer and we'll go from there.

| Your best bet to get the Definitive Collection would probably be Ebay.
Thats where I got mine last year. Paid 19.99 for it. I wouldn't pay a
"hefty price" for it.

| Greetings.
I'm sorry, but I think I'm a bit off topic. Only a bit, however. <g>
I'm keen to (re)aquire everything Descent II related. Does anyone know
if the "Interplay 15th Anniversary Anthology" package includes Descent
II, and Vertigo? Does it also have anything else Descent related (e.g.
other Descent versions, mission builder, etc.)?
Thanks in advance!
Cordially,
Richard Kanarek
