Hi,
I am thinking of buying this "sim" but I don't see much talk about it
here.
Anybody try it and how is it rate: arcade, lite-sim, or hard-core sim?
Also, any one try Wings Over Vietnam?
Link to these game: http://www.boldgames.com/games/games.html
Thanks

It's lite but a lot of fun - also lots of 3rd party mods for the whole
series.

| Buff,
I too am preparing to purchase this one but find little here to recommend or
denounce it. I will probably buy this weekend and will post observances.

Considering that these two aren't much more than glorified mods of
SF:P1, I'll pass, despite liking the depicted era & planes.

Mr. S.

That's all the help you can provide??? What, does simhq need some more
payola? Did they run all the free thinking individuals off who didn't
agree with their "sponsors"
XXXX simhq, whose motto is "if we want your opinion, we'll give it to you"

Yes, they all share the same basic engine but that engine has
advanced/improved & there's more to come.
If you want Falcon 4 then this isn't it - but then it was never meant
to be.

Look garrote, if you want to contribute here, do it. So far all you've
done is recruit. Considering simhq's rep, you are spamming the newsgroup.
oh yeah, one day you'll understand those disturbing dreams you have, but
it'll probably too late.

Just so you know, I'm a member of DieSimFanboi. Once I saw it only gets
one post per month though I left and returned to simhq where people can
actually get some useful info.

Scharmers, we're all waiting for a new follies. Though by now, it would
probably have to be along the lines of Antique Flight Sim Road Show:
"I got me this Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe off ebay for a dollar.
Is it as good as Secret Weapons Over Normandy? Where's the luggage tag?"

I'll do another Follies when Andy Hollis or Paul Grace make another sim

For now we'll have to settle for TK. This may seem like a lite sim, but
he's one of the last of the legends--I like to think I'm financing cold
fusion buying it.

I've got WoVN. It's decent, but eventually tiresome - 1960's fighters
level turning like F-16's, Sparrow missiles that you can treat like
AMRAAM's. I know that there's a market for non-hardcore sims, but I
think they went out of their way to make WoVN an utterly risk-averse
title. It wouldn't have taken much more to make a sim that wasn't
harcore but offered more apparent challenges - sort of like EF2000 used
to be.
