| Thanks to previous advice from here I now have a Win98SE box (Voodoo5)
running LB Gold/LB2/EAW
(using a KVM switch) :-)
However, I have unwrapped my never used retail packs of IL-2 Forgotten
Battles, Ace Expansion Pack, and Pacific Fighters, ready to install on my
WinXP - Pent3.2 / GForce 4 / Creative Audigy2 (1Gb ram.)
I have downloaded patches :
301m
303m
401m
403m
404m
Is install just a straight forward
1. Install all three from the CDs
2. Install patches in order ?
Somehow I finished up with another add on: CD "Battle Over Europe" from
www.justflight.com
(For ver 1.22 of Forgotten Battles)
Anyone know if it is compatible with a fully patched combination of FB /ACE
/ PF ?

Check the forums on www.pacific-fighters.com There's a sticky how to patch
it right.
Here's what I did:
Installed FB/AEP
Installed PF (merged version into SAME directory) Downloaded "Community
Superpatch" and installed it. Voila! Version 4.04m ready to go. To play
online download Hyperlobby as well from http://hyperfighter.sk

For merged Forgotten Battles/Ace Expansion Pack/Pacific Fighters:
Install FB
Install AEP
Install PF
Install patch pf_patch303m.exe (100MB)
Install patch pf_patch401m.exe (141MB)
Install patch pf_v402m.exe (31MB)
Install patch pf_patch403m.exe (155MB)
Install patch pf_patch404m.exe (21.8MB)
Also it seems that the "Battle Over Europe" add on can be patched and merged
as well.

You're welcome!
I am a noob to this game myself. Started playing it a few weeks ago and
instantly got addicted to it. Feel free to stop by on my dedicated Server
"JG234-Dedicated" and train with us. Please ignore the fact that it is
showing timeouts on the lobby...you will connect just fine!
