| AVSIM.com is pleased to announce the location and date of the 2006 AVSIM
Conference and Exhibition. We will be holding our fifth annual Conference
and Exhibition the weekend of September 15th, 16th and 17th in Washington,
D.C. The Conference and Exhibition will be held near to the new Steven F.
Udvar-Hazy Center of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, located
adjacent to Washington-Dulles Airport (KIAD). We are currently working to
finalize the venue location, but here's some critical information we do
know: the venue will have complimentary shuttle bus service from KIAD and
will have shuttles to the Center on a regular basis. As with all of the
AVSIM events, we will have a Friday night "simmers' social", a Saturday
night awards banquet and two days of exhibitions and displays. This year we
will also have two basic categories of awards; the AVSIM Bravo Zulu and the
"People's Choice" awards. We will be posting more information on the
People's Choice awards in the coming weeks. As we firm up the details on the
Conference and Exhibition, we will post them here. Also, we encourage you to
keep an eye on the 2006 Conference and Exhibition forum that is now open.
So, make your plans, mark your calendar, and plan on joining us at this
year's event!
