| I am waiting for del. of sim and have some questions.
Currently I have il2 and also il2 forgotten battles on my hd.
I do NOT have the aep on il2fb.
I don't know if I will be getting il2 fb incl in PF or not.
Is it poss. to get just a stand alone PF, or does it come with all 3 in
box? Is there any advt. to installing it by itself or with il2 incl?
I believe the PF is ver. 3.0 out of the box?
If so, would I install patch 3> 3.3 and then 3.3> 4.1- or how should I
proceed on the patches? If it is installed with fb would the PF patches
also upgrade the il2FB to current patches or does il2FB need sep.
patches?
After all those questions, is it advisable to upgrade PF to PF Banzai?
Can I lead a Banzai charge on ubisoft for putting us in that position
in the first place?

Yes, you can install PF as standalone, and with the current software you
have, that is your only option without purchasing the AEP.
However, to truly get the full benefit and the most indepth WWII sim ever,
you will want to get the AEP while you still can, and do a merged install of
PF.
PF by itself, as a stand alone, is a pretty weak sim imho...
You do not need the original IL2.
You will need IL2 FB + AEP + PF.
You should still be able to find the AEP, if not, look for IL2FB Gold (
includes the AEP with it), should be able to pick it up very reasonably
priced.
I would start with a clean install.
Install IL2 FB, Install AEP, Install PF.
Then, updated to 3.3, then to 3.4, then to 4.1. ( I believe some have stated
3.4 is not necessary, I did, with no problem). This will update everything to
the current version.
Then go and grab some of the killer offline user made campaigns that are
available, and you will be very busy for a while. " Two Little Ducs" and "
Cactus Diary" are two of my favorite offline campaigns.
I am not familiar with Banzai...

PF is its own sim and can be installed seperate to FB but that means you can
probably forget about MP. Or it can be treated as an expansion pack and
install with FB and AEP. If you do install seperate, make sure you download
the right patches for ex 3.3 for seperate install 3.3m for a merged install.
I'm not sure if you need AEP for a merged install.
My best advice would be to buy AEP ($10 on amazon), install everything
together and keep it simple. At that price its well worth the money

I hadn't heard of it either, and nothing abot it on the UBI IL2/PF offical
web site. But a search found several hits on it.
Note: One site claims new aircraft. But I wonder what these NEW aircraft
are?
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/sim/pacificfightersbanzai/
"Pacific Fighters: Banzai! is an expansion featuring new aircraft, 320
single-player missions, and more than 100 multiplayer missions." It appears
to be an expansion from Matrixgames.
