Author F4 AF manual

Hi,
Just got F4: AF and realised that even though it doesn't have a printed manual the original Falcon 4 spiral bound manual I have is
very close to the pdf with F4: AF so this old one may still come in handy after all these years :-)
The pdf also has some additions not in the printed manual. It has step by step instructions on a Ramp Start
showing what consoles and switches to select.

I went through that ramp start procedure the other day and kept screwing it
up because I couldn't find the throttle indent in the 2D cockpit and the
keystroke didn't appear to work. Found it in the end, but quite a
frustrating experience. Cool once it's mastered though!

One of the things that quickly turns me off a game that relies heavily on a manual
is inaccurate ones and unfortunately this one fits the bill.
The indent key is Alt-I not Shift-I.
Switches in panel G are in fact in panel H.
Switches in panel F are in fact in panel G.
I stopped at that point and just went straight to taxi. These games are complicated
enough without spending hours correcting a manual. This one will be gathering dust
I'm afraid.

Try to get the FF3 keyboard reference. It shown almost all the correct keys
for F4 AF only the HSI range buttons have changed. I have a scanned in copy
if you want it. Just reply to my email nstutt@spam.nstutt.freeserve.co.uk -
just remove [spam.].

You mean SuperPak 3, I already have it.

I think you mean HSD and no those keys are still the same, the Tab and Caps Lock keys
have changed though and possibly others.

Well you sent it anyway without me asking for it. Thanks for adding to my
d/l quota which I have to pay for.

If you read my first message you would have seen that my problem is with the manual
not the keyboard chart. One is supplied in HTML format which is useless as well if you
want to print it as it is too big for the page.
