You can already do that (bombing) sans taxiing in SP4.

Yes I know but I was referring to the new game coming out - will it be
incorporating the best bits of SP4 and FF2?

I certainly like the look of the radar in the new game - Ive been wanting
descriptive target identification that shows you what plane you are
targeting. This should make dogfights far more controllable than previously
and is worth the purchase on its own. I can remember playing an early
version of FF I think it was, in which they had more detailed target
identification and it was a blast dogfighting and actually knowing where all
the enemy planes were. Then they took it back off and it ruined the gameplay
for me. This was the best bit of EF2000 as well. I always found the target
nonidentification part of the radar modelling in the Falcon 4 game to be its
worst bit - you were never sure what you were shooting at without asking
AWACS every time you targeted a plane which was I right pain I thought. It
may not be entirely realistic for early F16s but certainly these days the
radar must surely identify the target plane pretty damn accurately.

Agreed; the awacs query, besides being extremely unrealistic, (it's Awacs
job to tell you of a threat, etc., you don't have to ask...over.......and
over........and over) is a pita.
