Well, in my experience, onboard audio works fine, and is not as big of a CPU
hit as previously thought. At worst, probably a 10% hit, but from my
experience 5% or less hit to frame rate. If I was running the latest games
on it, I would definitely consider it, however as I peruse the system
requirements of these games, I realize that most of these games require a
800MHz processor at most, I think the 1800+ won't suffer.

Thanks though. I do have an older SB16 sound card, but don't know if that
will be any better than the onboard one.
