What do we have here? A few IL-2 lap dog fanbois and a couple of right
wing political hot heads. You boys should be ashamed of yourselves.
The knitting group is more exciting than this pathetic excuse for a
top hiearchy usenet group. You guys may as well go moderated seeing as
you don't like constructive criticism. Moderate yourselves into
oblivion. You're almost there anyway.

The most pathetic thing is that you are proud of using a flight
simulator newsgroup as your whiny political soapbox.

That's pretty funny, coming from someone whose sole contribution to this
newsgroup has been either a reply to the Schiavo or Dubya On Crack trolls,
or as the originator of the "F-16s sold to terrorists" post.

Yup, . The list of important people who have been chased off this newsgroup
by personal attacks is tragic...including Denny Akin as well as other
magazine editors as well as pilots with warbird, aeronautical degrees and
F-16 experience. A person can take only so much. I've been on this
newsgroup since the early 1990s and have seen it...it has been a waste to
humanity.

It is not always a question of the "fanbois" not wanting to hear about it.
Sometimes it is a case of where the most effective battlefield is.

If the subject is lack of torpedo bombers in a Pacific sim the game is
Pacific Fighters, right?

The lack of torpedo bombers is subject that has been and continues to be
beaten to death at the Pacific Fighters forum.

If you wanted to post your opinion about this subject where it would likely
be seen and responded to by the most Pacific Fighters players would you post
here or there? It Oleg does not respond to it there, would posting here make
a difference?

I have several posts on the subject THERE (plug "MeJoe" into the PF
search).Posts likely already seen by those here who also frequent there (all
of us?). I hesitate to make the poor souls wade through my windy BS twice.
Once is quite enough, even for me.

I suppose the situation is about the same for any sim.

Yeah sure. 25 years ago maybe. Now? Who gives a crap? I was
one of the biggest 3dfx advocates out there. But now there simply
is no need. My X800 Pro does all the games I have tried. The
graphic improvement for FF3/Falcon 4 and System Shock 2 was
huge.

Somewhat akin to the moral crusader who has for years condemned the cities
depravaty but is then found to have been a frequent customer at a local
brothel? "Ah my flock! If a tower of moral strength such as I could not
resist what hope for you lessor beings?" "Do you not see that you need my
instruction more now than ever?"

Or perhaps the serial killer who blames his crimes on the lewd women who are
his victims? "Yeah! I did it but THEY made me!!"

It is almost as if the complainers believe that there are only so many posts
and words alloted to a newsgroup and that every post or word used in a
political thread is one less that can be used discussing flight sims. "No
wonder there are no flight sim posts. You political clowns used up all the
words!!"

The complaints are always so vague. "More posts about flight sims!" they
demand but with never a word about which sim is lacking what coverage. Can
they name a sim they believe has not been sufficiently reviewd? Is there a
question about a sim that they have? The newsgroup is here, let them post!
But they do not post. With no posts from them what other conclusion can be
reached but that they are satisfed with the information available and have
no questions, Yet they complain and demand more flight sim posts.. Curious.

So lets see what we have here. We have some folks who rarely if ever wiite
flight sim posts themselves and we have these same folks demanding more
flight sim posts. Simple observation and logic suggests that the
complainers believe it is the task of someone else to write these flight sim
posts.

Boiled down it seems the complainers are yapping about how others of us are
failing in our responsibility to keep them entertained with ever more flight
sim posts.

Is there another conclusion that fits the events so well? If yes, what is
it? If no, then perhaps we "others" can begin to shoulder our neglected
responsibilities.

As a suggestion for a possible Flight Sim subject, could we classify it as a
"Flight Sim Threadt" if we told the complainers to take a Flying ........

You've clearly never tried 3dfx drivers then. They are the best and most
stable.

Dunno why you bother with that Win98 crap. W95 does everything you
need. I guess you just bought into more of the MS marketing crap and
just had to upgrade, didn't you? I mean, who really needs USB devices
anyway? Hype, hype, -> HYPE!

James Calivar

I wanted to stay with 95 but I had to reinstall my OS and lost my original
Win95 diskettes. When I went to Radio Shack to buy a new copy, all they
were offering was 98 - and not only that, it's only on CD. So I had to buy
a SCSI CD drive too. F*cking Microshaft!

LOL - more like "Dr. Loss". It's a known fact that DRDOS causes a memory

Not "terrorists"... but "Nuclear Terrorists"!!! Behold!

What the *fsck* is a nuclear terrorist... or any sort of a terrorist
anyway. A person with an "ism" about "terror". Any power naturally
fits that description. This terrorist stuff has been absurd from the
beginning, and has gotten way out of hands with this "War on Terrorism"
bullsh1+. Well, it's a /war/, so what does one expect. No wait, it

I've often wondered why people dont call "Terrorists" what they really
are...criminals. Why differentiate them from some "garden variety"
murderer? thats what they are. These people do not deserve special
attention, which is what they want. I see no reason why heads of
state, etc do not refer to these people as criminals.

I was on about nations, countries, wars, how the media and other voices
invent concepts that have the required amount of buzzwords and will fit
to headlines from the top of their heads (like "terrorist", "Nuclear
Terrorist", "weapons of mass-destruction", "war on $YOUNAMEIT" et
cetera), how classical models of empires are being sold as democracy,
how us, the people of Earth, are letting all this happen and so on and
so on.

You know, the usual rant.
