Numbers were invented a long time before the Arabs. The Arab controbution
was the concept of zero. And this occured many, many years before Islam.
The Arabs also had a very sophisticated astronomical system - again,
developed before Islam. Haven't heard of too many contributions to society
by the Arabs since Mohammed came along, though - coincidence??
