OT US Govt funding Islamic terrorists

| Situations change. Enemies become allies then revert to enemies again.
FDR sold Japan much of the steel Tojo then used to blow Pearl Harbor to
hell.
FDR also did much to help Stalin. Going so far as to get thousands of US
Soldiers killed in invasions to open up new fronts thus taking the pressure
off (and saving the lives of) the Soviet Army soldiers who inturn squared
off against US before the war was even over.
Osama in 20 years? Maybe, maybe not. The immediate problem is Iranian nukes.
Iran has openly vowed to destroy Israel. Though the Mullahs seem to exclude
themselves from the martyrdom they encourage for others the theory holds
that if Iran is also destroyed in carrying out that vow it is still a great
victory for which Allah will eternally reward them.
Iran and Israel both know that it would take only seconds for a nuclear
strike from any Mid East country to reach Israel and that only a few hits
would totally destroy the country. If that first strike is ever launched
Israel is dead.
Have you ever seen Nazi pictures of Holocaust victims standing calmly in
lines, naked, waiting for their turn to enter the "showers"? Israel has
vowed that there will never be another Holocaust. This vow does not mean
Israelis believe they cannot be defeated. The vow DOES mean that if defeat
comes they will not calmly stand in lines waiting to die. If perish they
must, their enemies will perish with them.
A nuclear tipped Iran may mean the destruction of the entire Middle East.

| This is wisely stated. Anyone who is truly interested in Peace in the ME cannot
allow anyone to threaten to use Nuclear weapons against Israel. It is not a
matter of being Israels friend which we are but simply a matter of you do not
allow the sort of suicide exchange that will occur if Israel is launched upon.
If anyone believes that they will simply go quietly into the good night allowing
Muslim fanatics to murder the entire country without a fight simply has not been
paying attention.
Beyond that as soon as Israel is gone the Islamofacists will really be feeling
their oats. It is worth remembering that Israel isnt called the Great
Satan...they are called the little Satan, we are called the Great Satan because
it is only us who threaten the Mullahs existence. Our culture is their death
knell.

First of all - I'm not a muslim.
Second - do you really believe that only a few hundred years after
Myflower's arrival there is really some culture that could threaten anyone?
Is it Mc Donald's maybe?

It's an old joke: What's the difference between America and yoghurt? When
left to itself, yoghurt will develop a culture.

guys, it's not that bad. Just try to spell something in Croatian.
Misspelling would gain a whole new perspective

Well Croatia is on everyones list of places to visit and immigrate to so I know
how important culture is to y'all.
And yes our political culture is the death knell to radical islamic beliefs. Our
belief that freedom of speech and religion trump any demands from any single
religion are an anathema to Radical Islam. Our equal treatment of women doesnt
sit very well and we arent that cool with the idea that Islam is the one true
religion if it wants to declare that in our government.

PAPADOC, I'm sorry to say that but you know shit. You should really watch
CNN, Sky and read more so you wouldn't be so ignorant.
You were trying to be ironic, but actually that was a very stupid try.
Because Croatia is on everyones list of places to visit and immigrate but
it's too small to take so many people No, really, CNN ranked Dubrovnik
among the seven most attractive locations in the world for New Year's Eve
2001, Watch BBC and you'll see how many people from UK and USA "immigrate",
meaning they want to buy houses in Croatia. I'd like to stop them if I
could, there is really too many of them.
About our culture - Croats inhabited the Danube region in 7th century. Since
15th till 19th century Croatia was the border line which defended Europe
from Turk Muslims. Before you say a stupid thing, do some research.

| hehe...Yea I know shit, I see signs for vacations to Croatia on ever street
corner...but no matter. That was the smallest point of my post and I see you
avoided the rest of my post.
Your history is absolutely irrelevent to the fact that it is my countries
political system which is what bothers the Muslims so much. That is the culture
they fear. I notice that you said nothing of that...I notice that you said
nothing of the fact that we treat all religions as equals under the law. I
notice you had nothing to say of our nation treating women as equals, nor do we
declare Islam the primary religion of our nation.
And unlike Croatia we are large enough to make sure that other nations begin to
see that every individual is deserving of basic rights. Finally the fact that
Europe is so much older is more of a burden in my eyes...y'all have had so much
time to get it right and y'all are still way XXXXed up.

I didn't say nothing about that 'cause it's never been an issue. I completly
agree that it works (at least in theory) and I don't hate America. And I
don't negotiotate with terrorists But it's no different in any western

Thanks for the advice. But I don't give a damn about who is from where,
whose nation, culture is better and such things. I don't generalise. Bad
things in America, bad things in Croatia, idiots there, idiots here and so
on... The fact that I'm a croatian is based on where I was born, but if
there is something idiotic going on in my country, I won't claim that
everything is perfect (or sofisticated).
