Ya lost me Mitch. Interpret religion in what way? I wasn't aware that we
were discussing religion!

Well the crux of the matter is according to "who" it's between a man and a
woman? Now if you say "God" I will then fire the Bill of Rights back at
you, because clearly there
is not a separation of church and state going on. The reality is who really
cares! If two people are gay and love each other and want to form a legal
commitment to each other, who is anyone to say they shouldn't be able to do
that?
Lord knows we have enough divorce, why not let someone embrace marriage if
they so desire. But that seems to be part of the Republican doctrine, and I
can't stand it when I see rights being taken away. It defies our
constitution, and it's discriminatory. I also hate to tell you that it's
not just a few thousand activists. Personally, I think that if two people
want to commit to each other they should do so regardless of the law...hell
I've been married and while I'm friends with my ex-wife I'm certainly in no
rush to go down that path again!. But if someone so desires, they should be
free to do so.

Yes, I know you do...as do some republicans. Not the issue. The issue is
that a woman will no longer be able to have that right to choose if Bush is
re-elected. Bank on it, especially if there's retirement on the Supreme
Court.

C'mon Mitch. That's like saying "You have the gall to say people put out
Pumpkins on Halloween?" Do I really have to go dredging up links for you to
read?

Believe me, I know Iraq used WMD's in the past, so the argument they don't
have them in some respects is moot. However, the question is whether they
had them after arms inspectors started doing their jobs. Looks to me like
the answer there is NO. You guys like to say "oooooh they found a sarin
shell" But they haven't found squat other than an anomoloy or two. The US
arms inspectors were furious at the fact that Bush didn't listen to them.
So was Hans Blick. Gee now we know why?
Look at what a XXXXing mess Iraq is. It's a god awful XXXXing mess. It's
tragic, sad, surreal, and just flat out unbelievable. And that's on a good
day. Absolutely horrific and utterly devoid of any planning whatsoever.
Nobody is paying attention to North Korea...clearly. Nobody is paying
attention to Iran...clearly. Gee isn't it strange that were BOGGED down
(yes PD we're bogged down) in Iraq who never had nuclear weapons to begin
with. Un-frickin believable.

Ok, I'll bite that was a bit over the top. Apologies. But I didn't say
they were EXACTLY alike. :-)

No, actually I'm quite reasonable. But thanks for calling me sir! I'm piss
ed off at Kerry who is becoming a master politician...i.e. dodging questions
that are posed to him (even on frickin' Letterman!). That annoys me. I
don't like either of these nimwits, so I'm not putting on a democrat or
republican hat here. I just think all things considered Bush has got to go.
As I've said, I wish Arnie was running. What I AM hoping is that the
debates are frank upfront discussions about issues affecting this country
and how they'll be handled. Sadly, I doubt that will really happen.
