| On FS2K2 I have installed two controls:
(1) MS Sidewinder Precision Pro (USB) joystick and,
(2) CA Pro Pedals (USB).
Rudder control with these two beasts fighting each other has been my main
dissatisfaction with the simulator.
What I want to do is to completely disable the twist control of the rudder
but the only way I can see to do that is to reduce the sensitivity of that
axis to zero.
The problem is that even though I do that the twist remains operable and to
add to the frustration while observing the rudder in spot plane view - and
close up - the rudder is obviously baffled by the inputs and moving
erratically and sometimes not at all. Just not operating the twist doesn't
help with the problem either
Hope someone can give me a new slant on this problem.

This does not apply for me. My rudder works fine, and I'm happy with the =
sensitivity (I set all the null zones to zero -> no null zones).
If Flight Simulator does not keep the setting, perhaps installing the CH =
controller software can help you out. But it's just a guess.

In Flight Simulator, use the menu to go to Options/Controls/Assignments.
Navigate to the Joystick Axes tab.
Select the Sidewinder.
Scroll to the Rudder axis.
Click on Remove Joystick assignment.
Click on Ok.
Sorry, I used the term binding, while Microsoft calles it assignment.

Hi, Blue.
I've got the same combination and run them in FS2K as well as now FS2K4.
When you install the Sidewinder, it takes control of all three axes. If you
additionally install the pedals, they also get control for the rudder. Each
time one of them is moved, the rudder is set to the last new position.
So if you keep your pedals for left rudder and just slightly twist your
joystick, the rudder gets centered until you move the pedals.
To get rid of that effect, remove the binding for the Z-Axis in the
Sidewinder setup and you are done.
I have no idea what the "binding" is or how to remove it.
