Let me understand you clearly...

Spend $300.00 on a Cougar, then pedals for another $50.00 or so.
Put Hall Optical sensors (pots replacement) in it for another $200 or so
Of course then you should get one of the Uber mods to get rid of the horrible X-
Y nothiness the Cougar has.. for another $300 + (depending on the mod). That
only leaves you at the mercy of Guillmot's support for about 20 ot the crappy
hats/switches/buttons that WILL break.

Sorry. I have spent $300 on my CH gear (including pedals), the software is
excellent, and the support is the best in this (or any other for that matter)
industry.. THe gear was perfect out of the box and "IF" I wanted it stiffer
(after my forearm workout with the Cougar) its a simple matter of changeing a
couple rubber o-rings. After a year with it it still is perfect and I am used to
(and LIKE) the CH's minimal resistance.

Now i'm not here to bash your Cougar, with the mods added and a bit of luck it
will last a long time. I'm here to say that MY experience with Guillmot was
absolutely HORRIBLE (I can go over what happpened but suffice it to say I
followed their procedure to the letter). Let me add that, up until the day it
broke I fully intended to buy Hall Sensors and add the Uber mod..... I am SO
happy I didn't!
