Sounds like the only flight sim around in development that will be worth
playing. Cant see Maddox's BOB development being able to compete with
Rowan's game myself judging from Pacific Fighters and the like.
I just hope they have added new graphics and sorted the drag for the planes.
More variable plane damage and being able to control bomber formations a la
B17 2 would also be very nice indeed!
I wonder if there will be any doodlebug attacks featured in the game or did
they come after the BOB? Certainly night bombing raids on Heinkels would be
great fun over London.

| Looks very interesting. I was desparate for some BoB action so I've
been using DCG for Il2 to generate campaigns for France 1940 and
Britain 1940. Those turn out to be very fun but it's limited in scope
and immersion. The absence of an early Spit and a 110 sort of makes
the Il2 attempt shallow. Good for a scramble fix but not the feeling
of being an epic struggle in the Churhillian since. Plus, there's no
England so we end up having to use Finland as a sub. Just sort of
losses the feel when you can't fly out over Dover towards the Isle of
Writ to intercept the Hun. I would strongly consider BOB:WoV but
they'll really have to push the max on the eye candy department.
Il2:PF has really elevated the bar in this department. 1C has proven
that the inclusion of eye candy doesn't mean a sacrifice in game play.
I only hope BoB:WoV approaches the game with the same mindset. I
would pick up WOV in heartbeat if it had game play depth of Rowans but
the eye candy of Il2. However, if WoV is going to sport planes that
still look likes from the EAW/Rowans BOB era, I may pass.
BTW, the one thing that really makes WoV promising is that TiR3 Pro is
fully supported! Once I started flying with it, I can't fly without
it. Using the hatswitch or mouseball is like taking a giant step
backwords. The fact WoV supports Tir3 makes the game very appealing.

That's excellent news. If they can bring the graphics up to todays levels
of eye candy goodness plus have a good campaign and multiplayer this will be
a must have.
Things are looking rosey again! :-)
