I was a bit worried after watching the first clip because the plane does
the classic Lomac "stop dead on impact with ground" trick, which has
always bugged me. There may well still be an issue with that. But after
watching the second clip, which shows proper IL2-style landing capability,
I can forgive them *anything*, even the fact we'll only be able to have
this model for the Su-25T at first.

At last, proper landings and takoff! :-)

And another one. I may never fire another missile ever again
with physics like this to play with.

Mmmh, dunno. The rear wheel drift sequence at the beginning of the
second clip look typical of a GPL-like tyre model, which has long been
superceded by the N2k3 tyre model. Oh well...

Thanks for the link

Heh. I must admit I was looking carefully at that section for evidence of
a proper tyre model. Looks a little lacking, but hey, I've been crying
about the Flanker series' lack of proper flight & landing dynamics for
*years*. I'll probably live with what I can see there :-)

The stupid thing is that after seeing those clips I was in a really good
mood at work last night. But I couldn't explain why to anyone! Well, I
*could*, but they'd laugh at me ;-)
