I can't get it to work in fs2004. It moves the curser around a fixed screen
(virtual cp) but will not pan around as it should. I have the 9.1 update
installed. Any suggestions for getting it to work properly would be
appreciated.

Try to "cycle" the "S" button (views). One of the views may be your Track IR
view.

It sounds to me like you are in Mouse emulate mode. You need to be in
Enhanced mode to use TrackIr in FS2004. Open your Natural Point software
and check your key assignments. I'm set up as F11 as the key, but you should
check because I'm not sure that that is the default key. This should do the
trick for you.
