Crimson Skies - Unusual problem

| Greetings.
I decided to reinstall CS after reformatting my system and ran into a
problem I have never before encountered. Some of the text is replaced by a
strange color pattern but only in specific places, mostly in drop boxes,
and only when the game options are set for the primary hardware render. If
I set CS to use the software render the problem goes away but then the game
is pretty...well..ugly.
The system specs are as follows:
AMD 2400 processor, 512 mb ddr ram, BFG 6800 OC video card, Audigy 2, XP
Pro SP 1a, Dx9c, Windows Media v 10
I have patched CS to 1.04 and have run CS under different XP installs
before but with a different video card. Any help greatly appreciated.

Make sure anti aliasing is off, but my guess is the Nvidia drivers are
just NFG. None of the latest Nvidia drivers pass the Microsoft WHQL
test suite.

| Hi-
have you found a solution to the color bar problem?
I'm having the same issues here, also running a gforce 6800 with xp sp2
and dx9c.
