you have to be serious though. $60 or $75 commitment with no announced
info or screen shots. it's said to be of one of the PC BETAs
(prototypes)
of Sonic Xtreme which was closer to being completed than the Saturn
version.

carefully read the text of original post in that thread.

if you don't know who Assembler is, you probably will be very sceptical
about this.

this is his main website http://assembler.roarvgm.com/ he collects
rare and prototype game hardware and games. he's a trustworthy person
but don't take my word for it.

right now he is just seeing if there is interest in an unfinished
prototype / beta version of Sonic Xtreme PC. he previously conducted a
sale of a short demo version of the Saturn game, awhile back:

concider this a 'heads up' to the SEGA and SONIC communities, and the
larger
general game collector population, etc.

He did not conduct the sale as you mentioned. And for his trustworthyness,
it depends on who you talk to. I'm not here to bash him, but buyer beware.

It was a completely different game as well. Those who can access it,
this month's Retro Gamer has a really good article on Sonic Xtreme.
