| I'm calling it now. In a stunning comeback, Nintendo wins this
generation. The Xbox 360 gains on the PS3, but there is no clear winner
there after a very lackluster PS3 start followed by a time consuming
catch-up and eventual win of market share between the two. MS ends up
happy, Sony concerned.
Next generation will be exciting.

Nintendo isn't in "this generation" so how can they win anything?

so the fight is over, nintentdo have won and won't be proven to be
just another gimmick even though it's not a real next gen console and
the ps3 has failed even though it's early days and hasn't been
launched in all countries and a number of 360s are still having
failures?

Great. We'll put your prediction in our files next to the picture of
President-elect Harry Truman holding up a newspaper with the headline "Dewey
Beats Truman" on it.

| I disagree. The term "generation" implies a time frame. To say the
Wii is not in "this generation of consoles" just because it's graphics
processor isn't in the same leagues as the 360 and PS3 is invalid. The
Wii is unquestionably more powerful graphic wise than all of the
previous generation consoles: PS2, XBox and Gamecube. Nintendo decided
to put more innovative focus into the way games are played than how
they look... Obviously that worked quite well for them.
It's very narrow minded to not view the Wii as part of "this
generation" of game consoles.
