Author Sony's first strategic move to solve the PS3 problem.

The PS3 problem is the hemorrhaging of money lost on each PS3 system
sold. With new mangement up stairs, some of us have been wondering what
Sony will be doing..... Looks like the first strategic move has been
made, this won't help them sell systems, but it will help them stop the
losses.

charge Europeans as much as $836 [USD] for a PlayStation 3 when the
console debuts in March, "

Aren't consoles always more expensive in Europe? I remember UK gamers
always complaining that companies just replace the dollar sign with a
pound sign.

They have similar rates of increase:

PS3: 28% more in the UK
360: 27.5% more in the UK.
Wii: 29.5% more in the UK.
