Author Ps2 "wireless" (internet) connection

I had to replace my son's old "big" PS2 with a new slim-line model. It
comes with an ethernet port on the back and he'd like to use it to play
his games online.

I looked into options for getting it online. I have a PVR/gaming pc in
the same area as the PS2, which has dual ethernet ports on it, and that
PC has a functional wireless connection.

When searching on ebay, I found that there's a little proprietary
linksys box that will get a ps2 online, but, it seems to use some
standard other than 802.11 a/b/g.

Is there a way to get a PS2 online _with_ 802 wireless, or might it be
possible to slap some sort of routing software on my pvr and have it
hand out an internal IP address to the box through the ethernet ports?

I would check dLink as well, I know there are other wireless options
out there for gaming consoles. And some newer ones as well. Your best
bet is the check the manufacturer's websites first, and then go to ebay
looking for exactly what you need. Randomly searching will likely have
you ending up with something that doesnt fit your needs.

Good Luck!
