Hell yes, it is one of the greatest RPG's of all time. It has an innovative
combat system, which is part turn-based, part real-time. It has an
engrossing storyline, and great character development. It is fairly
short(Only 20-25 hours), but it has some great animations and moves too.
In fact, I think I am going to go play it now!

i agree, except i thought the DC version looked a lot "crisper"
graphically, in comparison to the PS2 release.

I liked it.
If you're familiar with the battle system from Grandia you'll do fine. In
fact, I only got into trouble near the end when I accidentally started a
boss battle without healing my characters (oops)
The ending annoyed me though. The rest of the story is quite dark and
would normally implicate a bitter-sweet ending - at best. But no. *poof*
everything turns happy. Huh?

I dunno. I *liked* the story line - despite some of the obvious "twists"
that are telegraphed to you very early on.
I *liked* how every victory your party won was almost pyrrhic in nature.
The only thing I hated was that the ending hit the magic reset button,
which was very disappointing - and completely nonsensical (why is
you-know-who still around?!)

Yes. I wouldn't say it's in the top ten with such a formulaic story,
though.

Great game, but I agree with Chris' comments. The "jaggies" on the PS2
are horrible compared to the DC version.
