| Can I use a USB memory stick in these? Are they just for the headphones?

I've used the usb ports to upload grabs from GT4 onto a digital
camera's memory card. The Eye-toy uses them and I'm sure other things
will do.

You can use them to transfer your game saves to the PC using special
software and a flash drive. MaxDrive is one such example.

I've used a mouse and keyboard, when the game supports it. The Eye Toy
camera uses them, as do the headphones for chatting during online gaming.
The Namco lightgun uses them, as does the karaoke microphones. And
developers use dongles with them to prevent unauthorized access of software.
USB memory sticks only work if you first get the software to support them
(such as the Max Drive). Once you have the CD, you don't need to use the
16MB stick that it comes with--you should be able to use any USB flash drive
to transport saved game data from the PS2 to a PC (and vice-versa). It
isn't that useful unless you want to email saved game files back and forth
to friends without mailing your memory card to them.

| Th Trance Vibrator (for Rez, Space Channel 5 part 2, and the Japanese
version of Disaster Report) uses it.

| Oh, and the handful of games on the PSP and PS2 that can hook up to each
other use the USB port. Madden did it; has anything else been released
that does it?
