Author RPG suggestions

My husband and I have been playing BG, BG2, CON, and CON:RTA forever and
are completely and totally bored with them. What other games, similar to
those above, would you suggest? We've been looking at stores and review
sites, but we're still new enough to the PS2 RPG world that we aren't
entirely sure which games will be right for us.

Barring similar games, what multiplayer games are good?

Thanks

You seem to like action RPGs, so I would definitely suggest giving the
X-Men: Legends games a try. They're kind of like BG/CON, but with
superheroes.

Yeah, I agree that the X-men games are the closest to what you're used to
playing. There *are* other action RPG's out there, but they are a lot more
story and sidequest oriented.

Thanks. What were some of the other action RPG's? We also play PC RPG
games, some of which are more action than others (and all of which are
single player, hence the reason we got the PS2). For example, we play BG
and BG:SOA on the PC which lean more toward the turn-based side of things
while Dungeon Siege and Fable:TLC are more action-oriented. Either is fine
with us as long as we can both play.

Thanks again

I'm not sure what 'CON' and 'CON:RTA' are, but for co-op RPGs you can
try Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1&2 (or something like that) and
Gauntlet.

Ouch, the other RPG's are only one player... sorry about that.

Champions of Norrath and its sequel.

I think that's what she meant by BG and BG2.

Hunter the Reckoning
Dungeons & Dragons Heroes (this was on Xbox for sure but I think might
also have been on PS2)

Those two are dyed in the wool BGDA clones.

Someone else already mentioned X-Men Legends 1 & 2 and I will back that
recommendation up, those are excellent and very similiar to BGDA style
games.

There will be a new game based on the DC comic heroes coming soon also.

Unfortunately most console RPGs are single player only.
