Looks like Gears of War was a flash in the pan

| The xflop fanbitches tried to hype GoW into the stratosphere and were
basically able to do that -- for about 2 days. The biggest problems
were that it is a really, really short game, about 7 hours, the
multiplayer is basically 4 on 4 DM (deathmatch) which gets old quick,
and the basic "cover shooter" gameplay was novel for a few hours but
extremely repetitive after that. The xflop fanbitches were excited as
hell and creaming all over themselves for about 2 days but now the
unsustainable hype has petered out like the usual xflop fanbitch
premature ejaculation.
The bizarre aspect is "Emergence Day" was supposed to be the next
Micro$haft hype machine to make the game a "system killer" and most
xflop fanbitches that wanted to play the game have played it and are
done with it -- before "Emergence Day". So typical of Micro$haft, to
pick Sunday as a big debutante ball, after everybody is nursing
hangovers from Friday and Saturday night.
The really laughable part about the two big days for GoW was that it
wasn't being judged on its own standing, the xflop fanbitches were all
going on about whether this was *the* Halo killer, then falling out
against each other over arguments about whether Halo 3 was or wasn't
going to be better.
The biggest laugh of all is the game launch was totally overshadowed
and pushed into media obscurity by the Japan launch for the PS3. Now,
the media is focusing on the Blu-ray capability of the PS3, the ability
to upgrade the hard drive without violating the warranty, and more and
more and more about the PS3. Now, the xflop 3-shitty has nothing else
for the holiday season except being available and a miserable
reliability record. The xflop 3-shitty slow death march starts picking
up the pace next year.

I think the reason you're not hearing any hype today is because they're all
playing in the EMERGENCE DAY tournament on LIVE... which makes the PS3
Network looks like a turd in the bowl. ;-)

|
| My predictions:
All three next gen consoles do well.
Bliggy continues to spout paranoid garbage.

| Oh dear. Is this REALLY the best you can do?
Where is your counter to the fact that the first few thousand PS3s are
not even being bought by gamers, but instead a bunch of homeless
Chinese men employed to get stock for Ebay sales? Or that the PS3 has
launched with less than 10% of the number of PS2s sold over the same
period on it's launch? Or that, hours after the console was released,
reports are sifting through of crashes and freezes, game saves being
corrupted, and the hardware having to be patched before it's even
finished being unwrapped?
No, instead you just blather on about some imaginary version of Gears
of War, fabricating a whole host of scenarios in which you can claim
vicotry over 'T3h Xf10p t4r33 s41tty!".
I guess you'll be howling with extacy as you queue in line next wek,
waiting for your own PS3.

I don't think it was a mystery to anyone outside of the partisan
chain-linking blog and forum community that GoW was a budget-length,
b-flick trope bargain bin loser the moment the first screenshots were
released. Of course it will recieve the obligitory rave reviews from
the joke media for being a 360 exclusive, but in terms of real market
penetration, in terms of gamer's mindshare, in terms of any meaasure of
mainstream achievement, it will be a failure.
Meanwhile the PS3 has reached $1800 on Ebay and climbing.
The 360 finished in Japan, bombing in Europe, and still behind the PS2
in the US. The 360 can't die fast enough -- no one should support it as
it isn't even MEANT to make money, but rather just a way to make sure
Sony can't control the online media space. WHat other company would
throw away billions just to not let another company win? If Microsoft
wants our loyalty, then maybe they could do that by providing us with
quality hardware, not budget Chinese mass market junk, and bringing
aboard real talent and move the art of game design forward. But they
haven't, and won't, do either of those things, instead setting up a
framework to make gaming more expensive and lower quality then ever
before.
The longer the this dawn of the next-gen plays out, the more certain I
become of the fact that there really isn't competition anymore, it's
all Sony.

Clearly you wear Sony blinkers, and can't see a decent game if it bites
you on the XXX unless it has a Playstation logo on the box.

So, you dismiss rave reviews of a game simply because it's on the XBOX
360. Yet I bet you'd be saying the opposite if it were a PS3 exclusive,
citing the $100 million in pre-orders as being evidence of that fact.
quote:

Considering it started at $600 without even sneazing thanks to Sony's
ill fated hardware pricing.... that's hardly a surprise.

100,000 sell out of Blue Dragon packs would say otherwise.
That's 20,000 more than the PS3 has sold TOTAL.

According to you, and.....nobody else!

Considering a 39 million unit lead, that's not surprising.

Whereas the PS3 WONT make money for 5 years for Sony, according to
Meryl Lynchy Japan.....
And this console is supposed to save the company...

$600 for one decent game.
RRiiiiiiidge Racer! 7.
GT: HD.
Genjii: Massive Damage!
Like to rethink that eh?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAhAHAH! Tell me that when it launches in Europe and
has enough units to go round with enough decent games, and costs under
$300!

I know you're trying to use analogies like premature ejaculation
because you can relate to them, but sorry it just doesn't apply here.
As much as you hope, pray, and wish GoW to be a total flop it's not.
By now it's proven that it's not just a overhyped game that fizzled
after 2 days. Go look at the editorial reviews and player reviews on
numerous reputable forums and web sites, and the numbers speak for
themselves.

There are over 40,000 people on LIVE right now playing in this EMERGENCE DAY
event.
Yeah, that's just a "flash." LMAO.

Yeah, it's all "xflop fanbitches" responsible for GOW's 94% rating on
Gameranings.
quote:
> The biggest problems

LOL. Listen to Bliggy, the authority on GOW even though he's never played it
or any other 360 game. GOW is about 10 hours if you don't sprint through it.
Compare that to Resistance: Fall Of Man's 12 hours. Good thing that game
needed 22 GB of space for all that length.
The rest of your GOW rantings are null and void because, as usual, you're
talking about things you have no firsthand experience with.

How many PS2/PC games have you called Halo killers? I count four off the top
of my head. Looks like Halo is your bar for game greatness also.

.... which nobody outside of Japan gives a rat's XXX about.
Hey Bliggy, wanna make a bet? I bet GOW outsells and outscores ANY PS3
launch game. Care to step up?

When Mass Effect, Fable 2, GTA4, Assassin's Creed and about 20 other
potential triple-A titles come out.
Go back to the PS3 forums, Bliggy. You're just cut and pasting your shit
from five years ago now.

Only on casual (easy/novice).
When you play it on hardcore bump it up a few hours (10 to 12)
On insane I'm guessing 12 to 15 hours (only because by then you will be as
close to an expert as possible).
4 on 4 DM is a blast. I could play it for months.
Sorry bligo but you are humping on the wrong persons leg with GOW
*SLAM - now lay the XXXX down!*
GOW is simply amazing!

| With the release of Gears of War, Bliggy taken a slow, bleeding shot to
the gut. With this post, he concedes:
- GoW displays next-gen visuals equal to anything the PS3 can deliver.
- GoW delivers gameplay with a smooth, steady frame rate.
- GoW does this without resorting to DVD-9.
It must be appalling to you, Bliggy, that GoW is such a critical and
commercial success, the likes of which the PS3 isn't going to see for
at least a year. As much as I hope the PS3 succeeds (for the sake of
its developers), it's actually gratifying to see you with double-egg
omelets on the faces of you and your sock puppets.

Well, with GTA4 and the inevitable Xbox 360 version of MGS4 -- what will the
PS3 have?
